Mac or PC

When I was in school, Macs were the trend. Everyone had a Mac. They were in schools and in homes. But then the trend changed and PCs became the trend. Everyone had one, and now all schools have one too. But which one is really the best? Why is one better than the other? Well, after doing some research, I found some interesting results from Popular Mechanics. Prices, speeds, operating systems, they were all tested. I think you will see who came up on top, but I don't aggree. I may be that I am just used to my old ways, and am not really willing to change. But, you decide for yourself... but I'll stay with my PC. http://www.popularmechanics.com/technology/gadgets/tests/4258725 Derene, G. (2009) Mac vs PC. I remember when the Mac craze began especially with all the viruses that were attacking PC's. Many of my fellow students began to follow the craze and switch to the exspensive Macs! I found the operating systems difficult to relearn after I had been working with my PC and I was more comfortable with the applications and such that I had been using. After going to college, I found my peers with Mac's were making awesome videos in their rooms and not having to buy sepcial software to generate these projects for their classrooms. I began to wonder if I too should make the switch but after further investigation, found that I can find these programs, not exactly the same name, but do the same things! I think I will continue to stay with my PC until I can find a reason that would completely change my mind on the switch!

I’ve being using PC all this while till I enrolled in Educational Multimedia class which required us to use Mac applications. I had no option than to purchase a Mac.
One thing I like about Mac than PC is that, I don’t have to buy an anti-virus for Mac.

My school district recently switched to all Macs from PCs. Every teacher was given a Macbook. Our tech for the school district made the switch at home first. He hated Macs but loved his iPhone. After using it for a while he bought a Mac to try it out and got hooked. Our PCs in the school district were very outdated and the district was looking to buy new ones. He did some research and crunched some numbers and found that even though Macs are more expensive, we'd save money in the long term because of less hardware and software problems. Not to mention a lot of software that is need by Special Services comes built in on the Mac for free. It's not been completely problem free but most people who sit down and really start using them end up liking them.

Personally, I can use either one. Most of the time I use PC but I convinced my parents to buy an iMac. My mom loves how simple it is to use and I love the fact that they aren't calling me every week because they've done installed a virus. My sister told me a few weeks ago that after buying 3 PCs over the last few years, she's going to buy an iMac. She was constantly having PC problems with viruses and drivers. Basically, the thing I tell people is if you want it to be simple and work, and you don't mind paying more, get an Apple.
